Actor Keerthy Suresh unveiled the teaser for her upcoming movie Revolver Rita on her 32nd birthday. In the early years of her career, she often portrayed stock characters, serving as the embodiment of the 'loosu ponnu' trope—female leads engaging in over-the-top antics to appear cute to the hero.

For a significant portion of her career, Keerthy was confined to these roles, but everything changed in 2017 with the Telugu film Mahanati. Written and directed by Nag Ashwin, Mahanati, a biopic on the legendary actress Savitri, showcased Keerthy's acting prowess. Her performance was met with widespread critical acclaim, and the film became a major solo hit for her.

Since Mahanati, Keerthy has made diverse and bold choices, which is evident in her filmography. With Revolver Rita, she takes it a step further by stepping into the action genre.

The teaser for Revolver Rita begins with a thief snatching Keerthy’s purse in a crowded marketplace. He returns to his accomplices with his spoils, only for them to discover a gun, a blood-stained knife, and a grenade inside—rather than the money and valuables they expected. Rita then storms into the den of thieves, reclaiming what’s hers.

Curious onlookers ask, “Are you a cop? A spy? Or a don?” Rita dismisses these questions with a look of disdain, as the teaser gives us glimpses of her fast-paced adventures—racing cars, engaging in intense fights, and handling weapons with ease.

Amid all the action, Rita also faces domestic challenges, with her mother hilariously scolding her for failing to bring home vegetables in time for cooking.

Written and directed by JK Chandru, Revolver Rita also stars Radikaa Sarathkumar, Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Redin Kingsley, Super Subbarayan, and John Vijay.
