Rekhachithram poster OUT: Asif Ali takes charge as a cop in Jofin T Chacko's intriguing thriller

    Following the success of Kishkindha Kaandam, actor Asif Ali is all set to enthrall audiences with a new mystery thriller titled Rekhachithram. The film is directed by The Priest-fame filmmaker Jofin T. Chacko.

    After mesmerizing Malayali audiences with his latest blockbuster outing Kishkindha Kaandam, Asif Ali is all set to step back into the khaki uniform as a cop in his upcoming mystery thriller titled Rekhachithram. The makers of the film recently unveiled the second-look poster, featuring the actor in an intense cop avatar.

    Sharing the poster, the actor wrote, "My next... presenting the second-look poster of #രേഖാചിത്രം." The new poster shows Asif Ali's character seated among various props related to a movie set and is seen to be in deep thought. Around him, we see a movie camera, reel tapes, and script books, suggesting that he is working on cases connected to a film. Based on the new poster, it appears the character is investigating a mysterious case linked to the movie industry or a film set.

    However, the first look poster featured Asif in the role of a police officer, seen gripping the hands of Anaswara Rajan's character, who is dressed as a nun. Interestingly, Anaswara's character appears in black and white, while Asif Ali’s character is shown in color. The film's tagline reads "An Alternate History," promising a gripping thriller.

    While the makers have not revealed any vital details about the new project, fans are eager to uncover what the film has in store and are anticipating another masterpiece from Asif Ali and Anaswara Rajan's filmography.

    The upcoming film is directed by Jofin T. Chacko, known for helming The Priest (2021). The filmmaker is teaming up once again with producer Venu Kunnappilly, who bankrolled the critically acclaimed film 2018, for their latest collaboration, Rekhachithram. The film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Anaswara Rajan and Manoj K. Jayan, among others. In addition to the lead cast, the film also stars Siddique, Indrans, Zarin Shihab, Bhama Arun, Megha Thomas, Nishanth Sagar, Harisree Ashokan, Sreekanth Murali, Sudhi Kopa, Priyanka, Jagadish, Saikumar, Nandu, Vijay Menon, TG Ravi, Sreejith Ravi, and Pauly Wilson, among others.

    On the technical front, the film's screenplay has been penned by John Manthrikal and is based on a story by Jofin and Ramu Sunil. Cinematography has been handled by Appu Prabhakar, editing by Shameer Muhammed, and music has been composed by Kishkindha Kaandam's music director, Mujeeb Majeed.
