RC 16: Makers of Ram Charan-Buchi Babu Sana film welcome Shivarajkumar onboard | Check out first-look poster here

Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana’s eagerly awaited film, tentatively titled RC 16, has been one of the most anticipated films that Telugu fans are looking forward to watching on the big screens soon! Although the makers have not been providing major updates, the team recently released an exciting new poster from the film.

Welcoming Kannada superstar Sivarajkumar onboard, the makers unveiled the first-look poster of the actor on his birthday and wrote, “Welcoming 'Karunada Chakravarthy' @NimmaShivanna on board for a pivotal role that resonates with his stature. Team #RC16 wishes #Shivanna a very Happy Birthday. #RamCharanRevolts.”

The new poster features a side profile of the actor, who promises to play an intense role in the Ram Charan-starrer. The makers revealed that the actor will be ‘essaying a pivotal role that resonates with his stature.’ Earlier, in an interview, the Kannada superstar had confirmed his involvement in the project. Incidentally, RC 16 marks the Kannada superstar’s Telugu cinema debut as well.

RC 16 Shoot Begins

Earlier, it was announced that the film was officially launched with a grand puja ceremony. The event was attended by the lead actors – Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor – along with other big stars including Boney Kapoor, Chiranjeevi, Shankar Shanmugam, Naveen Yerneni, Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar, Sukumar, Venkata Satish Kilaru, and Allu Aravind.

Touted to be a sports drama, the upcoming film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers, with Venkata Satish Kilaru bankrolling it under the banner of Vriddhi Cinemas. As per reports, Janhvi Kapoor will be playing the female lead in the film, while Malayalam actor Antony Varghese Pepe of RDX fame is said to be playing a pivotal role. Bollywood actor Bobby Deol is also rumored to be part of the star cast. The music for the sports drama will be scored by Academy Award-winner AR Rahman.

The upcoming film will feature Ram Charan in a gritty avatar. According to earlier reports, the title of the film is Peddi. However, an official announcement about the same is awaited.
