When Thalapathy Vijay went the extra mile to make Arjun Das feel comfortable
Arjun recalled an incident where he felt the pressure of acting alongside Vijay, but Thalapathy made sure that he felt comfortable. "I was very nervous while filming an action sequence for the climax of Master. But he (Vijay) reassured me and said, 'Just be cool; it will be alright.' He has a way of making other artists feel at ease, even though he is not obligated to do so," Arjun said.
Arjun also praised Vijay for being quick to respond to calls and text messages. "Another off-camera quality of Vijay sir's is his promptness in responding to messages. He’s a fantastic person, all in all,' the actor added.
When doubts were raised about Arjun Das being a 'romantic hero'
During a press meeting, Sabu Joseph, the editor of Rasavathi, revealed that he had doubts if Arjun could look like a romantic hero. “It was during the lockdown when director Santhakumar called me and said that he was making a romantic film. He asked me if Arjun Das would fit as a romantic hero. I had my doubts initially, but after watching the film, I can say that the actor can be as much of a 'chocolate boy' as he is a 'rugged boy' on screen,” the editor said.
Meanwhile, Arjun expressed gratitude for working with director Santhakumar, who is known for films like Magamuni and Mouna Guru. “It is a blessing to have played the lead role in Santhakumar sir's film. I have been a fan of the director Santhakumar, but today I stand as a fan of the person Santhakumar is,” the actor said.
Rasavathi is slated to hit the big screens on May 10. The movie stars Tanya Ravichandran, Ramya Subramanian, GM Sundar, Sujith Shankar, Reshma Venkatesh, Sujatha, and Rishikanth, among others. It is a mixed-genre movie with romance, drama, crime, and more, according to director Santhakumar.
