Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana likely to begin filming in 2024: Here’s what we know about the cast

Basking in the success of Animal, Ranbir Kapoor is certainly on a roll right now. To double the happiness of his fans, a Twitter user who interacted with Ranbir at the airport recently has revealed that he will begin shooting for his upcoming magnum opus Ramayana in the summer of 2024. The project will be helmed by Nitesh Tiwari.

Talking about the same, the Twitter user revealed, “Woah, this blew up! Everyone asking, he said ‘Ramayana,’ goes on floor early summers. Not sure I should divulge anything more than that, but the star cast is frickin’ crazy… wow, #Bollywood is really taking it to the next level starting 2023.” Ranbir will be playing the titular role of Lord Ram and this will surely be another milestone role in his glorious filmography. Fans are super excited to see the actor do full justice to the character. Not only this but being the stellar actor that he is, Ranbir is not leaving any stone unturned to prep for the role of Lord Ram. The Rockstar actor has given up alcohol and non-vegetarian food as a respect for the revered role.

Sai Pallavi will play the role of Sita in the movie. Earlier, the role was supposed to be played by Ranbir’s wife and actress Alia Bhatt. But the Student Of The Year actress had to opt out of the movie due to date commitments. It will be nothing less than a treat to see Ranbir and Sai teaming up for the project. On the other hand, KGF star Yash will be essaying the antagonist Ravan in the movie. Fans are super excited to witness him in this magnanimous and fiery role.

Reportedly, Sunny Deol has been approached to play Lord Hanuman in Ramayana. However, there has been no confirmation on the news till now. Well, after this, we are super pumped up for this mythological extravaganza.
