Ram Setu teaser: Akshay Kumar as archaeologist races against time to save the holy bridge
Akshay Kumar's Ram Setu is set to clash with Ajay Devgn's Thank God at the box office on October 24.
The much-awaited first glimpse of Akshay Kumar starrer Ram Setu is out. The actor has dropped the teaser of his upcoming action-adventure drama and it sees him as an archaeologist on a mission to save the holy bridge. The short clip begins with a glimpse of Ram Setu as the actor looks at it from a helicopter. He then proclaims that he has only three days to save it. Then follows a series of events from a jungle chase to gunshots to jumping from housetops, that sets to make the teaser look intriguing. Towards the end, Akshay is in a special suit seen diving underwater all by himself to have a look at the Ram Setu underwater.
Sharing the teaser, Akshay wrote, “Ram Setu first look…just for you. Made this with a lot of love, hope you like it. Please tell us." Besides Akshay, the teaser also features Jacqueline Fernandez but Nushrratt Bharuccha, who is also part of the movie, is missing. For the movie, Akshay worked on his look to justify the role of an archaeologist. He has taken up an intense look by keeping his hair long and wearing a pair of spectacles. Check out the teaser here:
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, the film brings forward a story deeply rooted in Indian cultural and historical heritage. According to Ramayana, Ram Setu is a bridge built by Lord Ram’s army to reach Lanka to rescue his wife Sita. The film has been in the making for quite some time now. It has been shot in parts of Mumbai, Ooty, Daman and Diu. Produced by Prime Video alongside Cape of Good Films, Abundantia Entertainment, and Lyca Productions. the film is slated to hit theatres on October 24 this year. It will be a Bollywood clash with Ajay Devgn and Sidharth Malhotra’s upcoming comedy-drama Thank God directed by Indra Kumar.
