Rajkummar Rao opens up on Janhvi Kapoor starrer Mr And Mrs Mahi; talks about Stree and Roohi’s sequels

One of the most versatile and sought-after stars of the Hindi film industry, Rajkummar Rao is currently gearing up for the release of his comedy drama Badhaai Do . But that’s not the only exciting film of the handsome actor that fans are eagerly looking forward to. He has many other equally interesting scripts in his kitty at the moment including the official Hindi remake of the Telugu film Hit , Anubhav Sinha directorial Bheed, Netflix ’s Monica O My Darling and Mr And Mrs Mahi, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor . Much to our delight, Raj has now shared updates on some of his films which are in the pipeline.

In an interview with India.com, the actor shared juicy details of Mr And Mrs Mahi, which marks his second film with Roohi co-star Janhvi. Rajkummar was quoted saying, “Mr And Mrs Mahi, it’s Sharan’s (Sharma) second film after Gunjan Saxena. And I can’t really dabble much into details of what it is exactly, but you know, it’s a beautiful relationship drama, and of course cricket is an important part of it. But the film is not about cricket, its way more than that.” He went on to add that the team will start shooting for the project ‘pretty soon’.

Talking about Anubhav Sinha’s social drama Bheed, the actor confirmed that the team has finished shooting and the movie is now in post-production. Raj further shared that he is very proud of this project. When asked about sequels to his popular horror comedies, Rajkummar revealed that while he is not sure about Roohi, Stree 2 is definitely in the works. Co-starring Shraddha Kapoor , the 2018 film not only emerged as a major critical and commercial success, but also gave us a solid cliffhanger.
