Rajkummar Rao is one of the few actors in Bollywood whose middle name is ‘versatile’. Not the one to get stuck in one particular mode or genre of roles, he is someone who has always pushed the envelope and has always ventured out of his comfort zone when it comes to proving his talent as an artist! How can anyone forget his stellar performance in films like Trapped and even the more recent Srikanth, where he played the role of a visually impaired man!
With talent and versatility spreaded across through the repertoire of work, its only natural that he becomes the unanimous choice for many filmmakers. After having tasted immense success with Srikanth and Mr & Mrs Mahi, Rajkummar Rao is now all set to star in a film with the gorgeous Wamiqa Gabbi, as per a report in Mid Day.
The report stated that the film has been titled Bhul Chuk Maaf and the story premise is that it is a love story which has been set in small-town India. The film will see Rajkummar Rao reuniting with producer Dinesh Vijan. Readers may recall that, the combination of producer Dinesh Vijan and Rajkummar Rao resulted in many hit films like Stree (both the franchise), Roohi and Hum Do Hamare Do, which saw Kriti Sanon as his co-star.
As for the aforementioned film, the report stated that, while the film goes on floors this week, the actors have arrived at the holy city of Varanasi. The film, which will be directed by Karan Sharma, will reportedly feature an exciting combination of supporting cast! The film, which will be treading on an extremely unique take on love in unusual circumstances, has been scheduled to be wrapping up most of its portions of the shooting in the Uttar Pradesh temple city.
As for Rajkummar Rao’s latest offering Mr & Mrs Mahi (with Janhvi Kapoor as the co-star) has now managed to collect Rs 16.85 crore in its first weekend at the box office.
