Actor-director Raghava Lawrence has several exciting new projects in the works, and on his 48th birthday, he announced his decision to join the pan-India trend with an ambitious superhero film. Seasoned Telugu director Ramesh Varma unveiled the first-look poster of the movie, titled Kaala Bhairava, which showcases an intense new look for Lawrence.
The filmmakers have likely used AI technology to create the highly stylized first-look poster, which doesn’t reveal what kind of superpowers Lawrence’s character will have. The mystery has sparked curiosity among fans, who wonder if Lawrence’s character will be a skilled vigilante like Batman or Daredevil, or perhaps someone who gains superhuman abilities by accident, similar to Spider-Man. “A new SUPERHERO among us emerges,” teased director Ramesh Varma while sharing the poster.
In addition to Kaala Bhairava, Lawrence revealed a first-look poster for Bullet, an upcoming movie written and directed by debutant Elviin. In Bullet, Lawrence takes on the role of a police officer, a departure from his superhero character. “I'm extremely happy to share my first look from my brother’s @elviinvinu_off debut movie #Bullet on my birthday. I need all your blessings and support,” Lawrence shared with his fans.
Alongside these two films, Lawrence is set to appear in another action-packed project titled Benz. This movie will be produced by director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s banner, G Squad, and is touted as a new entry in the ever-expanding Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU). The LCU, which has captivated audiences nationwide, centres on the war between ruthless drug cartels and vigilantes striving to rid society of these criminal forces.
In this cinematic universe, Lawrence will join a star-studded lineup that includes Kamal Haasan, Thalapathy Vijay, Suriya, and Karthi. The upcoming Benz will be directed by Bakkiyaraj Kannan, potentially adding Lawrence’s name to the LCU’s elite roster of vigilante heroes fighting to restore peace.
