Race turns 14: Bipasha Basu recalls working with Saif Ali Khan, calls him ‘funny and vibrant’

Bipasha Basu ’s fiery and sensuous performance in Race (2008) is still adored amongst film enthusiasts. The movie had also starred Saif Ali Khan , Akshaye Khanna and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles. As the movie ticks 14 years today (March 21), Bipasha recalled her fond memories of working with the cast and crew of the movie.

According to a news report in Etimes, Bipasha Basu revealed to a publication, “I loved working with Saif on this particular film. He is tremendous fun, his energy is infectious, he’s funny and vibrant! Akshaye Khanna again is wonderful. I have worked with him before too and he’s an amazing person to work with. He’s extremely talented. Katrina did really well in the film too. She looked very glamorous.”

Bipasha Basu furthermore was all praises for Anil Kapoor who also had a pivotal role in the movie. The Creature 3D actress said, “Anil Kapoor is amazing too. Having such tremendously fun and talented actors, all of it translated really well. Our producer Ramesh Taurani was just amazing.”

The actress recalled that producer Ramesh Taurani used to make Bhel and Pani Puri for them while they were shooting for Race in South Africa. Bipasha Basu further stated that they were a homely unit who used to party together and go out together. Talking about the Race franchise, the movie had two more sequels.

Race 2 starred Saif Ali Khan, John Abraham, Deepika Padukone and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. It was released in the year 2013. While the third installment had Salman Khan in the lead role along with Bobby Deol , Anil Kapoor, Jacqueline and Daisy Shah. The movie was helmed by Remo D’souza but had not managed to impress the masses.
