Producer Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers has put to rest several speculations surrounding the highly anticipated film Pushpa 2: The Rule. Starring Telugu superstar Allu Arjun and directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 has been one of the most awaited movies of 2024. However, its postponement from the original August 15 release date fueled rumours of production issues, including alleged growing tensions between Allu Arjun and Sukumar. Some even speculated that the film's release might be delayed further.

Ravi Shankar, however, dismissed these rumours, reassuring fans that the movie is on track for its worldwide release on December 6. "Our work is progressing smoothly," he stated, detailing the timeline of the film's completion. "September 2 will complete the edit of the first half. The second half edit will be done by October 6. By November 20 the final copy will be ready and on November 25 will finish the censor formalities. The worldwide release is on December 6 ."

Ravi Shankar's clarification aims to reassure fans and the industry that Pushpa 2 remains on schedule and that any perceived controversy is not connected to the film, which is expected to be a major box office draw.

In addition to clearing up release date concerns, Ravi Shankar addressed the recent controversy involving Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, who criticized movies that glorify smugglers as heroes. Many believed that Pawan's comments were directed at Pushpa 2, which centres on the exploits of a redwood smuggler.

The producer clarified that Pawan Kalyan's remarks were taken out of context. "Pawan Kalyan garu was speaking in a different context. We assume that people thought he was referring to this movie. His stature is on another level, and he wouldn't say anything that negatively affects the film industry. He said something in the flow, but it has no connection with Pushpa 2," Ravi Shankar explained.
