Pushpa 2 delayed? Allu Arjun's new look fuels speculations

The industry is abuzz with speculations about Telugu superstar Allu Arjun being miffed with director Sukumar, leading to a likely delay in the completion of Pushpa 2 production. A video of Allu Arjun with a trimmed beard inside an aeroplane is doing the rounds online. It is said that he has taken time off from work and gone on vacation with his family.

Allu Arjun losing his trademark look, which involves a thick beard, suggests that not everything is well with the production of Pushpa 2. The filmmakers may have to wait over a month for Allu Arjun's facial hair to grow back for the sake of continuity, which will delay the shooting.

Some industry sources claim that Allu Arjun is upset with director Sukumar over unscheduled shooting breaks. Taking a vacation in the middle of the shoot and trimming his beard is touted as Allu Arjun's way of expressing his unhappiness with the prolonged production of Pushpa 2.

Allu Arjun has been attached to the project for nearly five years now. Pushpa 1 came out in 2021 and became a huge hit. Sukumar is taking longer than expected to complete the second part, keeping Allu Arjun from taking on new projects.

Pushpa 2 was supposed to hit the screens on August 15. However, the filmmakers postponed it citing production reasons, and it is now slated for release on December 6. But based on recent developments, many predict that Pushpa 2 may not be released until next year. Many are raising questions about why a film that doesn't involve extensive special effects work is taking so long to complete.

Allu Arjun and Sukumar share great camaraderie and have played vital roles in solidifying each other's positions during the early years of their careers. Sukumar made his directorial debut with Arya in 2004, which made Allu Arjun an overnight sensation across South India. Arya 2 in 2011 was again a huge hit, making Sukumar a force to reckon with in the industry. Pushpa 1 in 2021 became another milestone in their shared careers, as it became a cultural phenomenon in North Indian states, expanding Allu Arjun's popularity countrywide. Pushpa 2 is expected to shatter all past records and emerge as the biggest blockbuster of 2024.

However, now the fate of Pushpa 2, one of the most-awaited movies of this year, hangs in the balance.
