Prithviraj drops out of Mohanlal's directorial debut movie Barroz
Prithviraj has dropped out of Malayalam superstar Mohanlal's directorial debut Barroz.
Prithviraj has dropped out of the directorial debut of Malayalam icon Mohanlal , Barroz : Guardian of D'Gama's Treasure, which is set to be a fantasy movie with a massive budget. Due to the pandemic there had been several delays in the shooting schedule, and with Prithviraj already busy with Shaji Kailas's Kaduva and then on rejoining the sets of Adujeevitham the actor was forced to leave the Mohanlal directorial.
The actor was supposed to play the role of an NRI businessman and even shot a few scenes, the producers have announced that these scenes will be reshot after recasting.
Barroz tells the story of a demon who is charged with protecting the treasure fleet of explorer Vasco Da Gama which is thought to be lost. Mohanlal will be essaying the lead role of Barroz along with him veteran actor Prathap Pothen and Spanish actress Paz Vega are said to be playing vital roles. The film also will see many foreign actors in the cast.
The movie went on floors in March 2021 but has faced several Covid-19 related delays.
