    Basil Joseph is currently basking in the success of his film Sookshmadarshini with Nazriya Nazim. The filmmaker-actor will be seen next in Pravinkoodu Shappu, which is slated to hit theatres in January 2025. Now, Basil Joseph has confirmed that the trailer of the film, which also stars Soubin Shahir, will be unveiled tomorrow (Wednesday).

    Basil Joseph recently took to Instagram to announce that the trailer of Pravinkoodu Shappu will be out at 6pm on December 18, 2024. He also shared a poster of the film, helmed by debutant Sreeraj Sreenivasan.

    Pravinkoodu Shappu cast

    Earlier, the makers of Pravinkoodu Shappu, touted to be a dark comedy, had released the first look and character posters of the lead actors Basil Joseph and Soubin Shahir.

    In the posters, Soubin appears as a bald middle-aged man juggling a deck of cards, while Basil is seen as a cop mulling over something with some cards stacked before him. The film is likely to revolve around these characters though not much is known about the plot.

    Apart from these two actors, the film also features Chemban Vinod in a key role. Shabreesh Verma, Pratapan K S, Chandini Sreedharan, Revathi, Vijo Amaravathi, and Sivajith Padmanabhan are also part of the supporting cast.

    On the technical front, Shaiju Khalid serves as the cinematographer, while Vishnu Vijay is the composer of the film, which is produced by Anwar Rasheed.

    Meanwhile, Basil Joseph has another film set to release in the first half of 2025. Ponman, which also features Sajin Gopu of Aavesham fame, Deepak Parambol and Lijomol Jose, will hit theatres on February 6, 2025.

    Another upcoming film of the talented actor is Marana Mass. The film is produced by Tovino Thomas with whom Basil Joseph collaborated on two of his directorial ventures. Tovino had starred in Godha and Minnal Murali, both directed by Basil Joseph
