Actor Prashanth is on the verge of a notable comeback in the Tamil film industry with a series of promising projects. A top star in the 90s, Prashanth's career hit a rough patch in the early 2000s, leading to a decline in his mass appeal. However, he now appears to be making strategic choices that align with the evolving tastes of Tamil audiences.

Prashanth recently hinted at a collaboration with acclaimed director Pa Ranjith, known for his work on Thangalaan. It seems Ranjith may produce Prashanth's next movie under his home banner, Neelam Productions. "Andhagan is now releasing, next The Greatest of All Time will come out. Definitely, you will hear that news also very soon," Prasanth mentioned in a recent interview while remaining tight-lipped about further details.

Prashanth's resurgence is noteworthy, especially given his familial connection to Tamil star Vikram, who now leads Thangalaan. Prashanth was a sought-after star when Vikram was struggling to establish himself in the 90s, highlighting the unpredictable nature of fame in the film industry.

Andhagan, Prashanth's latest release, is a remake of the Bollywood hit Andhadhun. Initially set to clash with Thangalaan on August 15, the release was moved up by a week to avoid direct competition. The film has opened to positive reactions and is reportedly performing well at the box office.

Following Andhagan, Prashanth will be seen in The Greatest of All Time, starring Thalapathy Vijay and directed by Venkat Prabhu, set for release on September 5.
