Phir Aayi Haseen Dillruba: Partners in crime Kanika Dhillon, Taapsee Pannu reunite, look back at 'push backs' faced during the original film

Actress Taapsee Pannu on Wednesday officially announced the sequel of Hasseen Dillruba and shared the first poster of her upcoming film Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. The actress also gave a shoutout to her partner in crime Kanika Dhillon recalling all the hurdles faced by them in the making and release of the original which released digitally on 2021.

Sharing pictures from the table ready of the sequel which is all set to go on floors, Taapsee penned a note looking back at the experiences they faced together. Both Taapsee and Kanika are caught in candid moments in the clicks from their reunion and looks like they are ready to come back stronger after all the lessons learnt in the making of the original.

“After the experiences that taught us so much with the first one. After the numerous push n push backs. After the resilience being tested to stand by a film we truly believed in. Here’s to the ultimate validation of sorts with my partner in crime(literally) Here’s to laughing through our biggest hurdles yet another time…… 🥂Phir aayi…… 😉 🥀” Taapsee wrote on Instagram sharing pictures with Kanika.

The writer also shared Taapsee’s post and shared her enthusiasm as she wrote, “Thank u so much for this Lou! ❤️🌈. To the best partner in crime who can really be counted on! @taapsee may we continue to laugh our way out of all the battles and make the cinema we love! ❤️! 🌈✨.”

Both Kanika and Taapsee battled several controversies during the release of Hasseen Dillruba. While Kanika had to battle sexist remarks for getting the screenwriter credit for the movie, Taapsee faced controversy over the personally targeted reviews for reviews. A few sections also called the original sexist and slammed the movie for allegedly glorifying domestic abuse.

Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba will see Taapsee reuniting on screen with actor Vikrant Massey and has also added actor Sunny Kaushal to its cast.
