    As reported earlier, Prabhu Deva is all set to make a stylish comeback to big screens with a dance drama titled Petta Rap. The makers of the film took to their official handles to release the teaser for the film. Actor Vijay Sethupathi took to his social media handles to officially launch the teaser of the film and wrote, “Glad to release the teaser of #PettaRap, Good luck to the entire team.”

    The newly released teaser introduces Prabhu Deva as the 'Michael Jackson of India.' It appears that the dance master is playing himself in the film, with several fight sequences and dance numbers featured. Actress Vedhika is the female lead. The thrilling musical actioner evokes memories of the actor-choreographer's superhit Bollywood film ABCD. The makers recently announced that the team has wrapped up the shooting. The teaser also indicates that the film will be arriving on the big screen soon.

    Petta Rap is directed by Malayalam filmmaker S J Sinu, who is known for films like Theru (2023) and Djibouti (2021). The director will be making his Tamil directorial debut with this Prabhu Deva-starrer. Vedhika is all set to star opposite the dance icon in this film, which is billed as a musical actioner. The film’s screenplay has been penned by Dinil PK and the movie’s title is clearly inspired from Prabhu Deva’s superhit single ‘Petta Rap’ from director Shankar’s romantic film Kadhalan.    

    On the occasion of Valentine’s Day, the filmmakers released the first-look poster of Prabhu Deva and Vedhika. The neon-themed poster features the lead actors in a dance pose, wearing vibrant outfits. The quirky poster caught the attention of fans, who were thrilled to witness their dance icon in an interesting actioner. 

    Additionally, Prabhu Deva will also be seen in Thalapathy Vijay's sci-fi action thriller The Greatest of All Time and the dark comedy Jolly O Gymkhana.
