Odela 2: Tamannaah Bhatia embraces festive spirit in special new poster | Check it out here

It’s Aashada Maasam, and the celebrations for the Bonalu festival have begun in Telugu regions. Meanwhile, the makers of Tamannaah Bhatia’s upcoming film Odela 2 have also joined in the celebrations. On this special occasion, the makers of the film took to their social media handles to share a new poster of the South diva from the film.

The new poster features Tamannaah Bhatia in a traditional saree, carrying a Bonam on her head. This particular still is reportedly from an important sequence in the film, where the protagonist, played by Tamannaah, carries the pot or Bonam on her head and offers it to the Mahankali deity. This scene is considered a significant part of the film. The shooting of the movie is currently taking place at the Odela Mallanna Temple in RFC, Hyderabad, involving Tamannaah, other actors, and 800 junior artists. 

About Odela 2

Directed by Ashok Teja, the upcoming film is headlined by Tamannaah Bhatia. Touted to be a supernatural thriller, the film is bankrolled by D Madhu under the Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Teamworks banners. When the project was announced, writer Sampath Nandi took to his social media handles to share that the upcoming sequel of the 2022 film is set to be a supernatural thriller. “A supernatural thriller killer promises,” he wrote. 

For the unversed, the 2022 film Odela Railway Station, also directed by Ashok Teja, was a crime thriller that revolved around a serial killer who targets newly-married women in a village named Odela. The film starred Hebah Patel and Vasishta N Simha in leading roles, with Yuva, Naga Mahesh, Vamshi, Gagan Vihari, Surender Reddy, Bhupal, and Pooja Reddy in supporting roles. In Odela 2, Hebah Patel and Vasishta N Simha will be returning to play key roles. 

The shooting of Odela 2 is primarily taking place in Varanasi and Hyderabad, centering around the fictional village of Odela, its rich culture, traditions, and how its true savior, Odela Mallanna Swamy, always protects his village from evil forces. Tamannaah is expected to play a never-before-seen role in the film. More details regarding the project will be disclosed soon.
