Following the success of Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, actor Basil Joseph is gearing up to have audiences in splits once again with his next project. The makers of his next film, Nunaluzhi, directed by celebrated director Jeethu Joseph, have unveiled the first-look poster of their upcoming film. Jeethu Joseph's favourite collaborator, superstar Mohanlal, unveiled the first-look poster on his social media pages.

The first-look poster features lead actors Basil Joseph and Grace Antony, who are seated behind a police vehicle. The protagonists appear tense and confused, hinting at being caught for doing something illegal. The uniforms of the cops seated in the front seat are visible on the poster, further piquing the curiousity around the film. Overall, the first-look poster promises an interesting watch, and with Jeethu Joseph at the helm, fans can expect a whole lot of twists, coupled with Basil’s entertaining screen presence. Nunakuzhi marks the maiden collaboration between Basil and Jeethu.

The makers also announced that the film will hit the big screens on August 15, 2024.

Directed by Drishyam director Jeethu Joseph, Nunakuzhi is written by KR Krishnakumar. Earlier, when the project was announced, the makers had unveiled the title poster, which featured the tagline "Liar’s Day Out," with a signpost referencing dialogues from Malayalam pop culture. The director had earlier revealed that he is exploring a dark comedy with this upcoming Basil starrer, which is different from his usual thriller genre.

 Apart from Basil and Grace, the movie also stars Siddique, Baiju Santhosh, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, and Manoj K Jayan in key roles. On the technical front, the cinematography for the movie is handled by Satish Kurup, while editing is done by Vinayak VS. The movie is bankrolled by Vikram Mehra and Siddharth Anand Kumar under the banner of Saregama and Vintage Films.

Notably, Jeethu and Krishnakumar are teaming up again for Nunakuzhi after their hit collaborations 12th Man (2022) and Kooman (2022).
