NTRNeel: Jr NTR-Prashanth Neel's project launched, silences rumours of delay

The much-awaited project of Telugu superstar Jr NTR and director Prashanth Neel was officially launched on Friday in Hyderabad. The launch event included a customary puja and was attended by Jr NTR, Prashanth Neel, and the producers from Mythri Movie Makers, among others.

Speculations about delays in the project, tentatively titled NTRNeel, seem to have prompted the producers to move forward with the launch sooner than anticipated. Recent rumours had suggested that Prashanth Neel might collaborate with Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar on a project dubbed AK64, which was rumoured to be an extension of the KGF universe. There were also whispers that this collaboration could pave the way for KGF 3, possibly featuring Ajith and Yash sharing screen space.

These rumours led to speculation that Prashanth Neel might put his project with Jr NTR on hold in favour of working with Ajith. However, it appears that these claims had little basis in reality.

Ajith's recent visit to Hyderabad, where he met with Prashanth Neel, further fueled the speculation. Ajith's manager, Suresh Chandra, confirmed that while a meeting did take place, the two did not finalize any project together.

In response to the swirling rumours, the producers of NTRNeel seemingly rushed to officially launch the project, putting an end to the uncertainty.

Jr NTR is currently occupied with his upcoming film Devara: Part 1, directed by Koratala Siva, which is set to hit screens on September 27. NTR was last seen in director SS Rajamouli's RRR, which was released in 2022. It has been a long wait for fans of NTR to see him back in action on the big screen again. The film also marks Janhvi Kapoor's debut in the Telugu film industry. 

Meanwhile, Prashanth Neel is expected to commence production on Salaar 2 with Prabhas. It remains unclear when Prashanth and Jr NTR will begin shooting for their collaboration.
