Not Shehnaaz Gill but Palak Tiwari to be paired opposite Jassie Gill in Salman Khan's Bhaijaan?

After Shehnaaz Gill , Palak Tiwari has been roped in Salman Khan ’s upcoming film Bhaijaan. The social media star has been handpicked by the superstar himself as per reports. Directed by Farhad Samji , Salman starrer has an ensemble cast that includes Pooja Hegde , Jassie Gill , Venkatesh, Shehnaaz Gill, Raghav Juyal , and Siddharth Nigam. According to Etimes, Palak is the latest to join the cast and she has already started shooting for the film.

It is also being reported that Palak has been locked to be paired opposite singer-actor Jassie Gill in the movie. Earlier, Shehnaaz was rumoured to be cast opposite him. “Palak has been handpicked by Salman himself. She will be seen opposite Jassie and has an amazing track in the film. She has joined the shoot,” the unit hand informed the publication.

Palak, the daughter of actress Shweta Tiwari , has featured in several music videos like Hardy Sandhu’s Bijlee Bijlee. She has also worked as assistant director in Salman Khan and Aayush Sharma ’s Antim: The Truth. She will be making her Bollywood debut with the horror film, Rosie: The Saffron Chapter, directed by Vishal Mishra and co-produced by Vivek Oberoi .

To note, the upcoming film Bhaijaan was earlier titled Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. The reason behind changing the title was the fact that Bhaijaan is the affectionate name fans use for Salman. Moreover, Bhaijaan was the title Salman wanted for this particular project which is touted to be a family saga of patriarchal family where the eldest son lords over the rest of the family.

Ever since the film was announced, there have been numerous changes made to the film. Earlier, Sajid Nadiadwala opted out of the project and Salman took over the production reins. Then Aayush Sharma who was earlier part of the cast opted out. Despite these changes, Salman is going ahead with the film which is scheduled to release in 2023.
