Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi set to begin shooting for next film | Here's everything you need to know

As announced earlier, actors Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi are joining forces for an upcoming project helmed by a popular director. Vijay Sethupathi, who attained immense success with his performance in his last outing, Maharaja, has a lineup of films in his kitty. However, his next collaboration with National Award-winning actress Nithya Menen seems to have excited fans, who are eagerly awaiting the on-screen pairing. 

Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi project details

Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi, who have earlier collaborated in the Malayalam film 19(1)(a), are all set for their sophomore collaboration. According to reports, the actors are set to begin shooting for their new Tamil project today, August 20, 2024. Reports also indicate that the movie is directed by National Award-winning director Pandiraj. The upcoming film is set to be produced under Sathya Jyothi Films, with an official announcement expected very soon. 

Vijay Sethupathi’s role in the new Tamil film

Reports suggest that Vijay Sethupathi is set to play the role of a Parotta Master and is currently undergoing training for his role in the film. Although the actor has not confirmed these claims, sources close to the production reveal that he is indeed playing an interesting role in the film. 

Moreover, actress Nithya Menen earlier expressed her excitement over the project on her social media pages. She revealed that she and Vijay Sethupathi couldn't have found a better script than this one. She also mentioned that the film has a unique script and belongs to a different genre, which is pushing her out of her comfort zone and breaking boundaries. She added that she enjoys challenging roles. “Vijay Sethupathi and I couldn't have found a better script than this one. It's a unique script and genre, and I love the challenge of breaking boundaries in different genres,” the actress shared.

Nithya Menen and Vijay Sethupathi’s other projects

Meanwhile, Nithya Menen has a couple of projects, including Kadhalikka Neramillai and Dear Exes, in her kitty. On the other hand, Vijay Sethupathi will next be seen in Vetrimaaran’s Viduthalai Part 2, the comedy-drama Ace, the silent film Gandhi Talks, and the Ram Charan-starrer Telugu film RC 16.
