Dhanush has mesmerized the audience with his incredible acting talent and has proved that he is a brilliant filmmaker too! The actor, who made his directorial debut with the 2017 hit film Pa Pandi, is currently awaiting the release of his second directorial venture, Raayan. However, the actor seems to have already begun work on his next directorial project!
According to the latest reports, the actor is planning to rope in his Thiruchitrambalam co-stars Nithya Menen and Prakash Raj for his next directorial project.
Prakash Raj spills the beans on Dhanush’s next directorial
During a recent promotional event, Prakash Raj, who will be playing a key role in Dhanush’s next film Raayan, revealed that he and Dhanush’s Thiruchitrambalam co-star Nithya Menen were approached for a new project. The senior actor also revealed that both he and Nithya Menen will be playing protagonists in this film. However, he did not comment further on the yet-to-be-titled project. It looks like the film is currently in its pre-production stage, and the Asuran actor might reveal key details after the release of his upcoming projects.
Dhanush’s other directorial projects
Besides Raayan, which is scheduled to hit the big screens on July 26, 2024, the actor also has another coming-of-age romantic drama, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam, which stars Mathew Thomas, Priya Prakash Varrier, Anikha Surendran, Rabiya Khatoon, and Pavish in key roles. The movie’s first-look poster and Valentine’s Day special poster were unveiled earlier, hinting at an out-and-out romance drama. The posters featured the cast members sporting bright and flashy outfits. The movie is produced under Dhanush’s home banner, Wunderbar Films. This movie marks the actor’s third directorial venture after Pa Pandi and Raayan and is expected to hit the big screens later this year.
Meanwhile, Raayan, Dhanush’s 50th film, also stars Kalidas Jayaram, Sundeep Kishan, Dushara Vijayan, Prakash Raj, SJ Suryah, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, and Aparna Balamurali in prominent roles. AR Rahman composed the original background score and soundtrack for the film.
