Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam: GV Prakash drops update about Dhanush’s next directorial - 'Something special...'

Following the success of the revenge action-drama Raayan, Dhanush is set to return to the romance genre with his upcoming film Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. Recently, the film's music composer, GV Prakash shared an exciting update about the music score.

Taking to social media, the composer, who has crafted the original background score and soundtracks for this new-age film, announced that he has completed the final mixing. He wrote, "#NEEK first single ... final mix done ... very, very soon ... something special and fun cooking with director @dhanushkraja." 

Earlier, the composer revealed that the music for the film is specifically made for the 2000s generation. He said that the songs will be refreshing for 2000s kids, and the new album will be out soon. 

GV Prakash’s first collaboration with Dhanush

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam marks the first collaboration between GV Prakash Kumar and Dhanush. The composer has previously expressed his excitement about this fresh partnership, saying, "I am collaborating with Dhanush for the first time, and I’m thrilled about it. Dhanush is very passionate about his work. During the production of NEEK, we would have brainstorming calls. Dhanush always incorporates a catchword in every song, and I’m usually tasked with creating the tune based on that catchword. Working with Dhanush on his directorial feels like a true artistic collaboration."

Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam release

Directed by Dhanush, Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam is a coming-of-age film and the Tamil actor’s third directorial venture after Pa Pandi (2017) and Raayan (2024). The film stars Mathew Thomas, Priya Prakash Varrier, Anikha Surendran, Rabiya Khatoon, and Pavish in key roles. The movie is being produced under Dhanush’s home banner, Wunderbar Films and is expected to hit the big screens in February 2025, as per reports. 

Meanwhile, both Dhanush and GV Prakash had a splendid year, with both their recent films Raayan and Thangalaan achieving box-office success. Raayan was directed by Dhanush, while Vikram-starrer Thangalaan's music was composed by GV Prakash.
