Netizens want Shah Rukh Khan to headline Brahmastra spin-off; is Ayan Mukerji listening?

After a decade in the making, the much awaited Brahmastra is finally in theatres for audiences to watch. Even though it initially became a victim to the boycott trend, several fans rushed to their nearest screens when the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer released. While Brahmastra has broken records at the box office, it got mixed reviews from critics and fans. There were some flaws which are being discussed quite thoroughly on social media. But if there is one thing that most netizens collectively loved, it is Shah Rukh Khan ’s cameo.

Before Brahmastra released, SRK’s appearance was one of the most talked about highlights of the film. Now that the passion project is in theatres and most people have watched it, fans want a spin-off of Brahmastra starring the superstar in the lead. You read that right! A tweet shared by film producer and business analyst Girish Johar revealed: “Unbelievable 😍... #SRK fans start a petition for a full #AstraVerse film with him !!! As a fan i have signed...request all SRK fans to do as well !!! 💥💖🤩🎉🙏🏻#Brahmastra spin off starring Shah Rukh Khan - Sign the Petition! @iamsrk.”

The petition, which has been signed by over 1,100 fans so far, states, “I request Dharma Productions and director Ayan Mukerji to make a spin-off of Bhrahmastra featuring Mohan Bhargav, played by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.” For the uninitiated, SRK has portrayed the role of a scientist in Brahmastra, who has the power of Vanarastra. While most fans loved his performance and role, there were some who were just happy to see him back on the big screen.

As we wait for Ayan to give in and announce a spin-off featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead, there are three back to back releases of the superstar that we can all look forward to.
