Tovino Thomas is all set to star in a political thriller titled Narivetta that is based on real-life events. The makers had announced the project and shared the title announcement poster on their social media handles. The latest from the movie is that the shooting has officially begun.
The team commenced the shooting with a puja ceremony. Directed by Anuraj Manohar, Narivetta will see Tovino play a police constable. The actor took to his social media pages to share pictures from the first day of shooting and wrote, “Here’s to the start of a fantastic journey! The first day of shooting #Narivetta is officially in the books!”

Earlier, the makers released the title poster of the film, which featured an eagle-eye view of a village hit by violence and a riot-like situation, with a burning hut and people running away. Although the makers have not yet disclosed any key details of the film, sources reveal that the film is an intense political thriller based on a riot.

According to sources, the film will see Tovino play a constable named Varghese. More details of the film are yet to be disclosed by the makers.

Helmed by Anuraj Manohar, who is known for his superhit film Ishq, Narivetta is the Malayalam debut of Tamil actor Cheran. Besides Tovino, the film also stars Suraj Venjaramoodu, Arya Salim, Priyamvadha Krishnan, and Rini Udayakumar in pivotal roles.
On the technical front, the film is bankrolled by Tippu Shah and Shiyas Hassan under the banner of the Indian Film Company. Jakes Bejoy composes the original background score and soundtracks. Shameer Muhammed and Vijay are handling the editing and cinematography, respectively.
