Narivetta: Tovino Thomas' next is an intense drama based on a riot? Check out the title poster

After Nadikar, Tovino Thomas is set to star in a film based on real-life events. The actor recently took to his social media handles to share the title poster of the film Narivetta. The new poster showcases an eagle-eye view of a village hit by violence and a riot-like situation, with a burning hut and people running away. Although the makers have not yet disclosed any key details of the film, a few sources reveal that the film is an intense drama based on a riot. “Excited to reveal #Narivetta, directed by Anuraj Manohar and produced by Indian Cinema Company. Grateful for this opportunity and eager to share more soon!” the Mollywood actor wrote.

Directed by Anuraj Manohar, well known for his superhit film Ishq, the upcoming film will have Tovino Thomas playing the lead role. Besides the Malayalam star, the film will also feature an ensemble cast including Suraj Venjaramoodu, Tamil actor Cheran, Arya Salim, Priyamvadha Krishnan, and Rini Udayakumar in pivotal roles. 

On the technical front, the film is bankrolled by Tippu Shah and Shiyas Hassan under the banner of Indian Film Company and has Jakes Bejoy composing the original background score and soundtracks. Shameer Muhammed and Vijay are handling the editing and cinematography, respectively.

Anuraj’s shelved project with Nivin Pauly

After his successful directorial debut with Ishq, director Anuraj had previously announced his second film, Shekara Varma Rajavu, which was supposed to be headlined by Nivin Pauly. However, after its announcement in 2021, the project did not materialize and is currently shelved due to unknown reasons.

On the other hand, the Nadikar actor has exciting projects ahead. Tovino recently wrapped up the shoot of Akhil Paul and Anas Khan's Identity, which also stars Kollywood actors Trisha Krishnan and Vinay Rai in key roles. The actor will also be seen in the period action flick Ajayante Randam Moshanam, Prithviraj Sukumaran's sequel to Lucifer, - Empuraan, debutant Shilpa Alexander's Avaran, and Saiju Sreedharan's Munpe.
