Nani and Srikanth Odela reunite for an actioner, director promises ‘100x Dasara impact’

After their celebrated collaboration on Dasara, actor Nani and filmmaker Srikanth Odela are set to reunite for another major project. The director recently took to social media to announce that he and Nani will be working together again on a film with the tentative title Nani-Odela 2. Touted to be an action drama, the director promises this new film will be 100 times more impactful than Dasara.

Sharing a picture of a camera frame, the director wrote, “March 7th, 2023 - I said the last ‘cut, shot ok’ for my first film Dasara. September 18th, 2024 - back to saying ‘Action’ for the announcement video of NaniOdela2. 48,470,400 seconds have passed! Each second was spent with utmost sincerity for my next. I promise to create 100 times the impact of Dasara with NaniOdela2. @NameisNani anna @SLVCinemasOffl."

Telugu star Nani responded to Srikanth Odela’s post on Instagram Stories, writing, "This madness is back in my life. Be prepared to be blown away.” The announcement photo shared by the filmmaker features a camera frame showcasing fire swirling against a blurry backdrop.

Fans have been equally excited about the new collaboration and are eager to learn more details about the upcoming film.

Dasara sweeps awards

Nani’s 2023 blockbuster Dasara dominated at this year’s Filmfare Awards, winning major categories including Best Actor (Nani), Best Actress (Keerthy Suresh), and Best Director (Srikanth Odela). The film achieved both critical and box office success, earning over Rs 100 crore in its lifetime run. The Telugu period film tells the story of three childhood friends caught in a chaotic conflict with the village headman’s son.
