It's summer time, which happens to be the best and ideal time for the filmmakers to release their films as mostly, it will be vacation time for many. The upcoming days will see an array of film releases, which will be across diverse genres. Amongst the upcoming films, there is one film which stands out, because of its story premise. The film is none other than Munjya, touted to be one of the horror thrillers which has been based on advanced CGI!
Today, the makers dropped the trailer of the film, which, by every sense, was eerie to the core! The promo of the film starts off with an island, which is a cursed one, as stated by the voiceover! The same voiceover also states that, the tree where Munjya’s ashes are buried is cursed too. The story further states that, ‘he wanted to marry a girl called Munni’, but could not do so as he passed away before the marriage.
Immediately after that, it's stated that he has been waiting for one of his descendants to show up so that he can finally be free and make his last wish come true. This is followed by the introduction of the eerie character of Munjya, who, then, enters the city life and creates havoc in the lives of many. The surprising part is that Munjya is visible only to one person, and he appears only after sunset! Thereafter starts a fight of sorts between Munjya and the one who is out to eliminate him! Does Munjya eventually land up getting married to Munni is what forms the rest of the film.
While the film stars Sharvari Wagh, Abhay Verma, Mona Singh, S. Sathyaraj, it has been directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. The film is being produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, with its music composed by the duo of Sachin–Jigar. The film is all set to be released on June 7, 2024.
