    The Abhay Verma and Sharvari’s horror film Munjya has been making news ever since the time it was announced. And the film has been making news and for all the right reasons. The most important aspect about the film is the fact that, this is the first time ever that the audiences got to see a central character which is totally a mirror to the statement of ‘Make In India’.

    The film, which was released on June 7, 2024, has been showing really good growth at the box office. And there are many factors which are working in the favour of the film. As far as the box office collections of Munjya is concerned, the film pocketed a decent and impressive Rs. 6.75 crore on its second day, as per the reports available.

    Looking back a bit, Munjya managed to rake in a decent Rs. 4.21 crores on its first day. In other words, the box office collections (at the time of going to print) stands at over around Rs. 10 crores, which is definitely good for the film. Trade pundits predict that, if the film continues to register similar box office collections, then, soon, the film Munjya will surely join the list of Bollywood films, which eventually turned out to be sleeper hits at the box office.

    Besides the aforementioned ‘Make In India’ CGI, what is also working for the film is the tremendous word of mouth. Those who have seen the film just cannot stop raving about the film, the plot, the comedy and also the horror element in the film. And, above all, it’s the mint fresh pairing of Abhay Verma and Sharvari, which acts as an icing on the cake.

    As for the film Munjya, besides Abhay Verma and Sharvari, it also stars Mona Singh, Sathyaraj, Suhas Joshi and Bhagyashree Limaye in all-important roles. While the film has been produced by Dinesh Vijan and Amar Kaushik, it has been directed by Aditya Sarpotdar. Speaking of Aditya Sarpotdar, the latest buzz about him is that, after Munjya, he has now signed Ritesh Deshmukh and Sonakshi Sinha for the film titled Kakuda.
