Mr. Bachchan teaser: Ravi Teja unleashes his typical mass avatar in this Raid remake | Watch

The wait is over! The most anticipated teaser of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s upcoming actioner Mr. Bachchan is here! The makers of the film took to their social media handles to share the explosive teaser. The grand launch of the teaser happened today in Hyderabad.

The new teaser begins with romantic exchanges between the leading man Mr. Bachchan, aka Ravi Teja, and his love interest, Bhagyashri. The teaser then cuts to Jagapathi Babu, who is caught in an income tax raid, which seems to have been set up by Ravi Teja, who plays an income tax official. Set in the 90s, the teaser showcases mass dialogues, fight sequences, and cliched romances, which we have seen in most of Ravi Teja’s films. Having said that, the film promises to be a treat for Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja fans, who have been eagerly awaiting their icon to don a vintage look. 

The teaser poster also confirmed that the OTT rights of Mr. Bachchan have been acquired by Netflix and are expected to be available for streaming on the OTT giant after its theatrical run.

Directed by Harish Shankar, the upcoming vintage actioner is an official Telugu remake of Ajay Devgn's 2018 film Raid. The Telugu action-drama stars Ravi Teja as an honest officer fighting corruption and facing off against the antagonist, played by Jagapathi Babu. Produced by TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory, the film stars newcomer Bhagyashri Borse as the female lead. 

The makers revealed the trailer of the film, and it is a typical Ravi Teja film with fun-filled moments and action blocks composed in a solid manner. Mr. Bachchan is set in the early 90s and showcases Ravi Teja as an income tax official. Jagapathi Babu plays the main villain in this film, and the hero versus villain aspect is showcased in a very interesting manner.

The film is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on August 15, 2024, and is set to clash with multiple releases in South India, including Vikram's Tamil film Thangalaan, Ram Pothineni's Telugu film Double iSmart, Basil Joseph's Malayalam film Nunakuzhi, Prashanth's Tamil film Andhagan, and Keerthy Suresh's Tamil film Raghu Thatha, among others, at the box office.
