Mohanlal fans rejoice as the first teaser for his upcoming period-drama 'Malaikottai Valiban' will drop soon

Director Lijo Jose Pellissery's Malaikottai Valiban is one of the most anticipated Mohanlal movies of 2023. The project is considered by many fans to come back for the veteran actor who had a poor run at the box office last year.
According to a new report, the first teaser for the movie is expected to release this Vishu on April 14th. The report also claims that the actor will sport two different looks in the movie.
Malaikottai Valiban is currently being shot in Rajasthan and is planning to shoot a big action sequence in Pokhran.
The entire set piece will involve over 300 stunt artists and will be shot entirely at night and will be a crucial scene in the movie.
Malaikottai Vaaliban is Mohanlal's first collaboration with critically acclaimed director Lijo Jose Pellissery, the movie reportedly has a massive budget and a lot of big stars are rumored to be a part of the project.
Lijo Jose Pellisery is one of the most talented directors working in the Malayalam film industry. He has consistently delivered back-to-back critical hits.
Director Lijo Jose Pellissery did reveal that this movie will be his first attempt at making a commercial cinema and that fans should be excited.
The director's 2019 movie, Jallikattu was selected as India's official entry at the 93rd Academy Awards, becoming the third Malayalam movie to do so.
The director started off the year with the movie Mammootty starrer 'Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam', which received rave reviews from critics and fans.
Joining Mohanlal the rest of the supporting cast of Malaikottai Vaaliban includes Jiiva, Katha Nandi, Hareesh Peradi, Danish Sait, and Sonalee Kulkarni.
Kamal Haasan has also said to have a cameo in the movie. While plot details about Malaikottai Vaaliban remain under wraps, it is rumored that Mohanlal will be playing the role of a wrestler named Chemboth Simon.
The cinematography is being helmed by Madhu Neelakandan, editing by Deepu Joseph, and music is being handled by Prashant Pillai, who is a frequent collaborator with director Lijo Jose Pellissery.
Malaikottai Vaaliban is expected to hit theaters in the latter half of 2023.
