Mira Rajput reveals what she deals with before husband Shahid Kapoor's film releases, says 'Isko Oscar pakda do koi'

As Shahid Kapoor is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Jersey , his wife Mira Rajput offered glimpses of what she has to deal with before every release of his films. She shared a video in which the actor is seen acting and saying,’ Apna Time Aayega’ in Ranveer Singh ’s style.

In the video, Shahid is sitting on a couch and saying, "All those insults, they hurt me deep inside but I said no Apna Time Aayega, aaj khush toh bahut hogi tum” to Mira who was recording it. Taking to Instagram, she posted the video with the caption,’ "Isko Oscar pakda do koi (someone give him an Oscar)’ and wrote, "Honey, revenge with a side of sweet #served. What I have to deal with before every release #tock. Award for best lighting goes to #notme."

The couple often treat fans with their candid moments of each other on social media, however, we wondered why Mira took ‘revenge’ this time.

Recently, Shahid also shared Mira’s reaction after watching his film Udta Punjab which was released in 2016. In an interview with News18, Shahid revealed that she didn’t want to be with him thinking if he was like his film’s character, a drug-addled rockstar. He had to convince her that it was just a role in the film which has nothing to do with real life.

When quizzed if he was angry or intense in real life, he told News 18, “Personally not angry at all. A very funny thing, when I and Mira just got married, I took her to see Udta Punjab before it released, and we saw it in the editing room. When we started seeing the film, she was sitting right next to me, we were on a sofa. At interval time, when I turned towards her she was literally five feet away. And I was like, ‘What happened?’

“We had just married. Aur arranged marriage this (It was an arranged marriage), we didn’t know each other that well. She looked at me, and her first question was, ‘Are you this guy? Are you like him? I don’t want to be with you’. I said, ‘No, no, that’s Tommy Singh. That has nothing to with me’” he added.

Meanwhile, Shahid Kapoor’s Jersey is a sports drama and a Hindi remake of the Telugu film of same name directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri. The film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapoor in pivotal roles and is slated to hit theatres on April 14.
