According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Meiyazhagan had an exceptional opening, minting around Rs 5 crore worldwide and receiving an impressive response in both the Tamil and Telugu versions. The film witnessed a massive jump of 67.21%, earning approximately Rs 5.10 crore on its second day of release, bringing its total collections to Rs 8.15 crore net at the Indian box office. The worldwide collection so far stands at Rs 10 crore, and it is expected to earn even more by the end of this Sunday.

Despite stiff competition from Jr. NTR's Devara, Meiyazhagan has captivated audiences with its poignant narrative and continues to shine at the box office.

Suriya reacts to Meiyazhagan's success

Actor Suriya, Karthi's brother, who has bankrolled the film under his home banner 2D Entertainment, recently thanked all the fans, cast, and crew for making the film a success. The Tamil star shared a poster of the film and wrote, "A film is usually made with a lot of math, a lot of calculations, and a lot of love, but pure cinema happens when a miracle occurs.
