Actor Manju Warrier is quickly becoming one of the most sought-after actresses in the Tamil film industry. After sharing the screen with Ajith Kumar in Thunivu and soon with Superstar Rajinikanth in the upcoming film Vettaiyan, she now seems poised to act alongside Thalapathy Vijay.

While she hasn't officially confirmed her role in Thalapathy 69, rumoured to be Vijay's final film, she shared an interesting promise made by director H. Vinoth.

Reflecting on her experience working with Vinoth during the making of Thunivu, Manju recalled a moment when she felt dissatisfied with her performance in a scene that Vinoth had approved. Despite her request for a retake, Vinoth declined, reassuring her that her performance was sufficient for the film. “He (Vinoth) was very clear about what he wanted from me and said that this level of performance was enough for this film. Of course, he meant it as a joke, but it showed his clarity about where his focus should lie while making a certain kind of film. Vinoth then promised me that he would give me a ‘performance-oriented’ role in his next script," she revealed during an interview with Suryan FM.

Following these comments, rumours have intensified about Manju's potential role in Thalapathy 69, which is written and directed by H. Vinoth. The film is believed to be a political drama and is expected to set the stage for Vijay’s potential political aspirations as he gears up for the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, Manju Warrier is busy with promotions for Vettaiyan, where she plays Rajinikanth’s onscreen wife. Written and directed by TJ Gnanavel, her popularity has surged following the release of a teaser featuring her dance performance in the hit song Manasilaayo. The film is set to hit theatres on October 10.
