After a long wait, the makers of Dulquer Salmaan's highly anticipated drama Lucky Baskhar finally unveiled the trailer on October 21. Directed by Venky Atluri, the team has impressed the audience with its promotional materials, and now they've released an even more captivating trailer.

Set in the 1980s, the trailer begins with Dulquer's character, Baskhar Kumar, introducing himself as a banker living a middle-class lifestyle with his wife, Sumathi (played by Meenakshi Chaudhary), and their son. The plot takes a twist when Baskhar suddenly acquires a large sum of money, hiding the source from his family and friends. Dulquer leaves a strong impression as a charming yet clever banker who enjoys his rags-to-riches life. However, when suspicion arises about his sudden wealth, he devises a plan to make it believable. The story revolves around how he manages to maintain his newfound fortune.

Dulquer recalls requesting no edits from Venky Atluri

In a recent promotional interview, leading man Dulquer Salmaan revealed that he was so passionate about the film's story that he didn't want director Venky Atluri to cut even a single scene. He said, "I have a lot of love for the film. I keep fighting with Venky whenever he tries to cut even one shot because I love the film so much. I keep telling Venky that it's one of the best films in his career. It's such a genuine and beautiful story, and it feels so real."

About Lucky Baskhar

Directed by Venky Atluri, known for Vaathi, Lucky Baskhar revolves around a financial scam. Meenakshi Chaudhary plays the female lead in this pan-India film, which is being made in multiple languages. The teaser shows Dulquer Salmaan as a bank employee at Magadha Bank whose life changes overnight after making a fortune through a scam.

Lucky Baskhar is scheduled for release on October 31, 2024, and will lock horns with Amaran, Brother, Mechanic Rocky, Bagheera, and Bloody Beggar at the box office this Diwali season.
