After Sita Ramam, Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan is all set to mesmerize Telugu audiences with his impressive performance in the upcoming scam drama Lucky Baskhar. Directed by popular filmmaker Venky Atluri, the movie features Dulquer Salmaan and Meenakshi Chaudhary in the lead roles. Set in the 1980s, the film revolves around a financial scam. Scheduled for a grand worldwide Diwali release, Dulquer Salmaan's Telugu entertainer Lucky Baskhar is set to hit the big screens on October 31, 2024. During this Diwali season, the Dulquer-starrer will compete with several major releases, including Brother, Bloody Beggar, Mechanic Rocky, Bagheera, and Amaran, for box office success.

The movie follows Baskhar, an ordinary middle-class banker who struggles to make ends meet and support his family. His life takes a dramatic turn when he unexpectedly comes across a large fortune, which he decides to keep a secret from everyone, including his family. The rest of the story unfolds as he tries to manage and maintain this newfound wealth.

The trailer begins with Dulquer's character, Baskhar Kumar, introducing himself as a banker leading a middle-class life with his wife, Sumathi (played by Meenakshi Chaudhary), and their son, living with a monthly paycheck of six thousand rupees. As he struggles to achieve financial stability, the plot takes an unexpected twist when Baskhar receives a huge amount of money, which he chooses to hide. However, as questions about his sudden wealth arise, he devises a plan to make it seem legitimate. Despite his wife's opposition, he becomes increasingly addicted to the addiction of money and luxury.

Written and directed by Venky Atluri, the film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ayesha Khan, Hyper Aadi, and P. Sai Kumar in key roles. On the technical front, Nimish Ravi handles the cinematography, while Naveen Nooli is in charge of editing. The original background score and soundtrack are composed by GV Prakash Kumar. The movie is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.
