Ahead of the much-awaited release of the Dulquer Salmaan-starrer family drama Lucky Bhaskar, a grand pre-release event was organized, with popular star Vijay Deverakonda and director Trivikram as special guests. At the event, Vijay Deverakonda expressed his deep admiration for the Malayalam star and shared how he had missed the opportunity to share screen space with Dulquer, despite both of them starring in Mahanati and Kalki 2898 AD.

Vijay Deverakonda is all praise for Dulquer Salmaan

The Arjun Reddy actor, in a heartfelt speech, revealed that he has always been fond of Dulquer and used to download his Malayalam films from torrent websites. He later met the Lucky Bhaskar star on the sets of their movie Mahanati. Vijay recalled how he became friends with Dulquer after meeting him during an event for the same period film. Despite appearing in two films —Mahanati and Kalki 2898 AD, Vijay Deverakonda expressed his regret at not yet sharing screen space with the Malayalam actor. He said, "We have been in two films now where we haven't shared the screen, Kalki 2898 AD and Mahanati."

He extended his warm wishes to his "brother" and said, "I am so proud and happy to be here for my brother Dulquer, and I wish him all the very best. I hope this October 31st, Lucky Bhaskar becomes a huge success."
