Happy birthday, Harish Kalyan! On the occasion of the actor’s birthday, the makers of his upcoming film Lubber Pandhu released the first-look poster, giving a glimpse into the world of Anbu, played by Harish Kalyan. Based on the sport of cricket, the film follows the story of Anbu, a talented street cricketer.

Lubber Pandhu first glimpse: Meet Anbu, a fast-paced bowler

The makers of Lubber Pandhu shared an intriguing character introduction featuring the protagonist. The glimpse showcases Anbu, an underdog who skillfully dismisses the batsman with his fast pace. Later, the protagonist’s face is revealed, featuring Harish Kalyan with a tanned look and unkempt long hair. The actor is seen being interviewed by a local reporter, to whom he says, "We must never be one among the crowd, but stand out from others."

Actress Devadarshini, who seems to be playing his mother, seems to disapprove of her son's passion, turning away. Tamil actor Attakathi Dinesh also plays a pivotal role in the movie.

The glimpse also has references to the late actor-politician Vijayakanth, indicating that the film will pay tribute to the actor. Overall, Lubber Pandhu promises to be an entertaining watch, and with Harish Kalyan leading it, we can expect many surprises.

Lubber Pandhu is a cricket-based drama film that is directed by debutant filmmaker Tamizharasan Pachamuthu. Besides Harish Kalyan, the film also stars Attakathi Dinesh as the other male lead. The film focuses on street cricket and will be a lighthearted emotional drama. 

Actresses Swasika and Sanjana Krishnamoorthy play the female leads. The movie has music composed by Sean Roldan, cinematography by Dinesh Purushothaman, and editing by G. Madan. The makers have yet to announce the release date, which is expected to be later this year.
