Liger first review: Here’s what you can expect from Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday’s ‘aafat’ of a film

Puri Jagannadh’s sports drama Liger is undoubtedly one of the most awaited films of the year. Shot simultaneously in two languages, the pan Indian film not only marks Ananya Panday ’s debut in the South film industry but is also the beginning of national heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda ’s journey in Bollywood. Backed by Karan Johar, the film is all set to arrive in theatres on 25th August. But much to our delight, an early review is now out and here’s what we can expect from Liger.

Overseas film critic and analyst Umair Sandhu took to his official Instagram account last night to share his review of Liger with the audience. On his social media story, he shared, “#Liger is Full on Aafat film! Totally Paisa Vasool Mass Entertainer! #vijaydevarakonda Rocked it!” Going by his words, fans can easily predict that the Vijay and Ananya starrer is going to be a blockbuster hit when it finally releases on the silver screen.

Well, not just the Indian audience but even Bollywood celebrities like Ranveer Singh, Sara Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor are eagerly waiting to see Vijay shine on the big screen in his first ever Hindi film. But did you know this was not the first Bollywood movie that KJo offered to the actor? After watching Arjun Reddy, the filmmaker was mighty impressed by Vijay and approached him for a different project. But back then the South superstar felt he wasn’t ready. Many years later, he approached Karan for Liger and things worked out for the best!
