According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the Asif Ali-led psychological thriller opened to impressive numbers, earning over Rs 28 lakh against its Rs 10 crore budget. The movie also enjoyed a decent Malayalam occupancy of 15.48% on its opening day.

As per the trend, the film is expected to make more money over the weekend. Notably, the film clashed with the major Tamil biggie Raayan, starring Dhanush, at the Kerala box office. Although the Tamil film has more hype considering its scale and star cast, Asif Ali's film has also managed to win the hearts of Malayali and Tamil audiences. It continues to get more footfall, thanks to the positive word-of-mouth the film has been generating.

Director Arfaz on casting the lead actors

Earlier, director Arfaz revealed details about the casting of the film Level Cross. He mentioned that although he knew Asif as "an extraordinary actor" before, he realised the actor’s potential while working with him in Kooman (2022).

Regarding Amala Paul’s casting, Arfaz said that he conceived the character of Chaithali as a tall, beautiful, headstrong, and modern woman. Considering these traits, Amala was his first choice, and he wrote the script with her in mind.
