Helmed by Operation Java-fame director Tharun Moorthy, the upcoming film is scripted by K.R. Sunil and the director himself. The project is produced by M. Renjith under Rejaputhra Visual Media. Earlier reports indicated that the upcoming film might be a revival of Benz Vasu, which the duo had initially planned to work on. For the unversed, Mohanlal and Tharun Moorthy were originally going to collaborate on Benz Vasu, a remake of the 1980 Malayalam film starring the legendary actor Jayan. However, the project was shelved due to undisclosed issues. Later, sources close to the team confirmed that the new film is based on a fresh script.

Mohanlal had earlier revealed that it took almost eight years for Tharun Moorthy to finalize the script for L 360. Hence, the anticipation surrounding the film is palpable.

The film is currently in its production stage, with the latest shooting taking place in Theni, Tamil Nadu, according to sources.
