Kubera - Yes, Nagarjuna is playing a negative character in Dhanush's movie!

The makers of Dhanush’s upcoming political gangster drama Kubera have surprised fans by releasing an intriguing poster of Nagarjuna from the film. He is seen standing tall in the rain, dressed in a crisp blue shirt and black trousers, holding an umbrella. As he turns around, he is seen standing in front of a truck filled with currency notes. He is then seen taking a Rs 500 note from his pocket and placing it sideways. 

This has caught the attention of many, who are all praising the Telugu superstar’s salt-and-pepper look. However, his role in the movie is a topic of much debate and fans are curious to find out about King Nagarjuna’s new role. Fret not, because we have got some interesting updates about his character from the Dhanush-starrer: that he plays a negative role in Kubera!

Nagarjuna is the main antagonist of Kubera

Nagarjuna is playing a never-seen-before character in director Sekhar Kammula's Kubera. According to sources, the actor reportedly plays an investigative officer who is also the main antagonist. Yes, you read that right. The Telugu star is all set to play a villain for the first time in his career. The character is poised to have shades of grey and will change the tone of the movie in which Dhanush plays the lead role. 

The new update has stirred excitement among fans, who have been wanting to witness Nagarjuna collaborate with Telugu director Sekhar Kammula for a long time. 

Meanwhile, Dhanush plays a homeless man who later becomes a mafia leader. So far, the makers have only revealed the first look posters of Dhanush and Nagarjuna and will soon drop the exciting first poster of leading lady Rashmika Mandanna.

Kubera has a pan-India star cast

Kubera has an ensemble star cast that consists of Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna and Jim Sarbh. Jim is making his Tamil film debut with Kubera. 

Earlier, a video of Dhanush and Rashmika surfaced on social media pages in which he was dressed in a blazer and Rashmika was in a salwar suit. The video seems to have been taken during a nighttime schedule in Mumbai and the lead actors were seen with some of the technicians. The leaked video generated a lot of traction on social media platforms. 

Kubera is currently in the production stages. A teaser is expected to be released after the first-look posters of all the lead actors are out. Popular music composer Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the original music for the film. Kubera will be a bilingual film, shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The release date has yet to be revealed.
