Kubera: Jim Sarbh looks dashing amid stacks of cash in new poster from Dhanush-starrer

Happy Birthday, Jim Sarbh! On the special occasion of the Bollywood actor’s birthday, the makers of his upcoming Tamil-Telugu film Kubera, starring Dhanush, shared the first-look poster of Jim Sarbh. Along with the new poster, the makers wrote, “Unveiling the first look of #JimSarbh from #SekharKammulasKUBERA. A very happy birthday @jimsarbh.”

The poster features the actor in a crisp blue-and-white striped suit, standing amid stacks of currency notes. The actor looks dashing and stylish in the new poster, which makes us question whether he is playing a grey-shaded role in the film. Although the makers have not disclosed many details of his character, fans have loved the new look and are eagerly awaiting to see the actor's pivotal role in the film. For the unversed, Jim Sarbh is making his South Indian film debut with Dhanush’s upcoming bilingual project Kubera. 

 Interestingly, all the first-look posters of the lead actors, including Nagarjuna, Jim Sarbh, and Rashmika Mandanna, show the characters next to piles of cash. However, Dhanush’s character is seen playing a gritty, homeless look, which has piqued fans' interest in the film. 

Kubera plot, cast, and crew

Kubera marks Dhanush’s 51st film and features him in dual roles. As reported earlier, the film boasts an ensemble cast that includes Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh, among others. Dhanush will portray a homeless man who becomes a mafia leader, while Nagarjuna is rumored to play a character with negative shades, specifically a cop.   

So far, the makers have revealed only the first-look posters of the lead actors. However, sources reveal that Dhanush’s Raayan movie co-stars Sundeep Kishan and Aparna Balamurali are also part of this Sekhar Kammula directorial. 

Kubera is currently in production, with a teaser expected to be released after all the first-look posters of the lead actors are unveiled. Popular music composer Devi Sri Prasad is scoring the original music for the film. Kubera will be a bilingual film, shot simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu. The release date is yet to be announced.
