Kondal motion poster : Antony Varghese teams up with RDX makers for a revenge flick | See it here

Malayalam actor Antony Varghese is all set to reunite with the makers of RDX for a movie titled Kondal. The makers of the film took to their social media pages to release the motion poster for Kondal. It is directed by debutant Ajit Mampally and produced by Sophia Paul's home banner Weekend Blockbusters, which backed Antony's superhit film RDX, as well as other successful films like Bangalore Days and Minnal Murali.

The animated motion poster starts with a voiceover narrating the dangers of the open sea, while visuals show a group of men confronting Antony's character on a ship. As the confrontation intensifies, the lone protagonist fights back. Antony gives a menacing look, hinting at a character similar to the one in his last outing, RDX. Overall, the film promises to be a powerful revenge drama set in a coastal region.

Directed by Ajit Mampally, the film is co-written by Ajit, Roylin Robert, and Satheesh Thonakkal. Alongside Antony Varghese, Kondal has a diverse cast that includes Shabeer Kallarakkal, Nandu, Manikanda Rajan, Pramod Veliyanadu, Prathibha, Gauthami Nair, Usha, Jaya Kurup, Sarath Sabha, Siraj, and Rahul Rajagopal in pivotal roles.

Following the success of Turbo, Kannada actor Raj B Shetty has been roped in to play an antagonist once again in this revenge drama. On the technical front, the film has RDX composer Sam CS, cinematographer Jithin Stanislaus, and editor Sreejith Sarang.

Kondal is slated to be released in theatres during Onam 2024, but a date is yet to be announced. Interestingly, RDX was also an Onam release in 2023 and emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters in Mollywood last year.

Besides Kondal, Antony Varghese recently launched the title poster for his other film, Daveed, which is directed by debutant Govind Vishnu.
