Kavin talks Bloody Beggar, Mask: Collaborating with Tamil cinema’s finest

Actor Kavin is quite excited about the upcoming movies in his career. Even though his next few films are directed by newcomers, they have the backing and blessings of some of the most accomplished directors in Tamil cinema.

For example, his upcoming movie Bloody Beggar is directed by Sivabalan Muthukumar, but it caught the attention of director Nelson, who not only supported the project but also produced it. Another film titled Mask came together under the guidance of the versatile director Vetrimaaran. Kavin noted that besides producing the movie, Vetrimaaran was deeply involved in every stage of pre-production and production.

“Mask is an action thriller with elements of dark comedy. Vetrimaaran sir narrated the whole story and is producing it as well. He was very involved with the project and came to the sets during key shots,” Kavin recalled.

Mask also stars Andrea Jeremiah as the female lead and features music by composer GV Prakash Kumar.

Additionally, Kavin confirmed that in his next movie, he will be sharing the screen with Nayanthara. “That film is set against a village backdrop and is being helmed by Vishnu Edavan,” he added.

Kavin recently scored big hits with movies like Dada and Star. Made on a modest budget, these films performed well commercially and garnered praise for Kavin's performances.

His next film, Bloody Beggar, is set to hit the screens during the Deepavali holiday on October 31. The movie will be released alongside other major titles, including Sivakarthikeyan’s action biopic Amaran.

Bloody Beggar is a dark comedy, though the producers have described it as a thriller. In the film, Kavin plays a man who earns his living as a beggar, despite being physically capable. One day, he ends up in the wrong place and gets caught in a dangerous game of deception and treachery played by wealthy individuals, struggling to find his way out of the trap.
