The most anticipated trailer of the Suriya-starrer fantasy period action drama Kanguva has been released, and the internet is abuzz with reactions. The upcoming pan-India spectacle, directed by Siva, features an ultimate showdown between Suriya and Bobby Deol, set in the imaginary world of Kanguva, where two rival communities clash. Many users took to social media to praise music composer Devi Sri Prasad for creating a spellbinding background score that elevated the hype surrounding this cinematic spectacle. One user wrote, “DSP cooked the most exciting one in the trailer. High hopes after watching the trailer.” 

Leading man Suriya’s thunderous entry and screen presence, coupled with his high-energy dialogue delivery, gave fans and viewers goosebumps. One user commented, “Tamil cinema touching Hollywood standards, never seen before avatar is incoming, peak visuals and background score especially Suriya's SOUND MODULATION ” 

The highlight of the trailer was the surprise cameo appearance by Karthi. Although his face is not revealed, sources had earlier confirmed that Suriya will have a face-off with Karthi in Kanguva. “This scene between the brothers will be a theater blast for sure,” one user commented. 

Concerns about Siva directorial?

While many fans are praising the makers for creating an exciting treat, a few are skeptical about director Siva. The Tamil director, who previously delivered the highly criticized Rajinikanth film Annaatthe, is now helming the Suriya-starrer Kanguva. Although the other artists involved in the fantasy drama have promised a visual treat with its grandeur and the work behind it, fans remain unconvinced about the director and are concerned for the film due to his past record. However, dismissing these doubts, many fans have come out in support of Siva and urged viewers to reserve judgment until the film's release. One user commented, “He might face a lot of trolls because of his previous works, and many are underestimating Siva, but you guys don't know the effort and hard work he has put in for #Kanguva. Directed by Siva, the pan-India Tamil film Kanguva stars Suriya, Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, and K. S. Ravikumar in key roles. Kanguva is scheduled for a worldwide release on October 10, 2024, during the Navratri festive season.
