Kanguva: Karthi to make a special appearance in Suriya’s fantasy action film? Here’s what we know

Suriya’s upcoming period fantasy actioner Kanguva has been the most talked-about Kollywood biggie scheduled for release this October. However, as per the latest speculations, another star is set to make a special appearance in the first part of the Suriya-starrer. Directed by Siva, the upcoming film stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, among others. 

Karthi to star in Kanguva

According to popular sources, Suriya’s brother and actor Karthi will be making a special appearance in Suriya and director Siva’s upcoming period fantasy film Kanguva. As per reports, the actor will have a short appearance in the first part of the film, followed by a lead role in the second part. If the reports are true, Karthi will be playing a different role but whether his role will have a negative shade is kept under wraps. An official confirmation on this is awaited.

Kanguva sequel

The makers have hinted that the Kanguva saga will continue with a sequel in the works. Poised to be a major period fantasy franchise, producer Gnanavel Raja of Studio Green revealed his plans to turn it into a franchise. He confirmed that Kanguva will have a sequel, with production beginning soon. He also promised that Kanguva's second part will go into production in 2026.

Kanguva's first single to be out soon

The makers had earlier announced that the first single from Kanguva titled “Fire Song” will be out on July 23, 2024, on the special occasion of Suriya’s birthday. Ahead of the period action fantasy's grand release, it seems like the makers have kick-started promoting the film through its musical promotions. 

Besides the lead cast, the film also stars Natarajan Subramaniam, Jagapathi Babu, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, Ravi Raghavendra, and K. S. Ravikumar. Produced by K. E. Gnanavel Raja, V. Vamsi Krishna Reddy, and Pramod Uppalapati under the banners of Studio Green and UV Creations, the cinematography of the magnum opus is handled by Vetri Palanisamy and edited by Nishadh Yusuf. Kanguva has music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. 

Kanguva is scheduled to have a worldwide release on October 10, 2024.
