It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Tamil superstar Suriya's upcoming movie Kanguva is one of the most anticipated films of 2024. With just a few weeks left before its release, early reviews are already making waves.

If the first review of Kanguva is any indication, director Siva has crafted a visual spectacle for the ages. Lyricist Madhan Karky, who had the privilege of watching the movie ahead of the general public, showered Kanguva with praise. Karky noted that experiencing the movie in its entirety felt very different from seeing it in parts during the dubbing process.

"Watched the full version of #Kanguva today. I’ve seen each scene more than a hundred times during the dubbing process, yet the impact of the movie grows with every viewing. The grandeur of the visuals, the intricate detailing of the art, the depth of the story, and the majesty of the music all combine with a powerhouse performance by @Suriya_offl sir, making this one of the finest pieces of art created. A heartfelt thanks to @directorsiva sir for the scintillating experience he has crafted, and to @StudioGreen2 for weaving this thread of dreams into reality," said Madhan Karky.

This is high praise, especially coming from Madhan Karky, who is famous for inventing a new language for the Telugu blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning.

Kanguva has been in production for over two years and is touted as one of the most expensive films in Suriya's career. The film is said to be a fantasy drama that connects the past with the present. Suriya plays a double role in the movie, and one of the highlights is his portrayal of a tribal warlord from an era long before civilization took hold.

The movie also stars Bobby Deol and Disha Patani, and is set to hit cinemas on November 14.
