Kalki 2898 AD: Theme of Kalki promo shows glimpses of Shobana’s graceful dance in Mathura | Watch

As movie buffs await the release of the magnificent Theme of Kalki from Kalki 2898 AD, the makers have released a promo of the song. As reported earlier, the makers planned to unveil the new theme song at Lord Krishna’s birthplace, Mathura. Now, they have released a glimpse of the grand event that occurred in this sacred Indian city.

The new glimpse or promo of Theme of Kalki features a grand event graced by actress Shobana’s dance performance. The music, scored by Santhosh Narayanan, promises a divine classical score that will enhance the cinematic experience of this magnum opus on the big screens. The makers also shared mesmerizing images of the iconic actress’ performances, along with photos from the event's inauguration.

Shobana plays Mariam in Kalki 2898 AD

Earlier the makers of the Nag Ashwin directorial had unveiled the interesting first-look poster of Shobana from Kalki 2898 AD. Fans, who were surprised to see the legendary actress in the trailer, were excited to know more about her character from the film. The makers had also shared an interesting poster of Shobana, introducing the actress’ character as Mariam. Sharing the poster, Vyjayanthi Movies, the production banner for the film, wrote in the caption, “Her ancestors waited too, just like her. 8 days to go for Kalki 2898 AD,” adding further intrigue about Shobana’s part in the film.

The actress also took to her social media handles to share the exciting new and wrote, "Cameo time !Wishing Vyjayanthi movies all the very best and thank you for the warmth.”  

Shobana was last seen in the 2020 Malayalam film Varane Avashyamund. 

Directed by Nag Ashwin, the upcoming Telugu sci-fi action drama is all set to hit the big screens worldwide on June 27, 2024.
